You are implying that unless he "put her in a coma," then it's not really abuse. Stop and consider what that means. Based on the paneling, I can see that he grabbed her roughly, and she somehow ended up on the floor. (Maybe he pushed her down?) She also exclaimed, "you're hurting me" at one point, and he didn't relent. I agree with the other comments that his hurting her was certainly *unintentional*, spurred on by his explosive temper. That's what makes him a bit more sympathetic, in my eyes. But it doesn't *excuse* that sort of behavior. “He grabbed her shirt and yelled at her, he didn’t put her in a coma! ”
