GOD Finally

Sorry about this. I’ve had a ton of work stuff on my plate recently in addition to some personal/ family issues, so it’s been rough finding the time to work on comic. Not to mention that this page naturally took 3x longer to do than a regular page because I had to learn how to use my new tablet to paint and also how to paint strong lighting… and not to mention how to draw everything horses :C It is my secret shame that I know nothing about horses, they are like crazy aliens to me. Now I’m better though… I have had an education on horse anatomy, morphs, saddles, reins, etc etc and man I am like the king of horses right now. Much gratitude to the library and to my friend Cheddar’s invaluable horse tutorial, which gave me a ton of excellent practical advice. The fact that she pointed out every error I usually make (can we say human legs) was probably the strongest selling point XD Of course, the horse is like the least noticeable part of this page, later it’ll be around more.

Anyways, I’m not quite done with my worktrain yet, but I should be back on track next week for sure. See you then.

The site is going to be polished up a bit in the next few week or so, the FAQ and cast page have already been updated. I’m going to add more fanart/ extras as well once I format the pictures.

Pimp of the week! Much the Miller’s Son is one of those comics that shouldn’t be on the internet… the art is too pro and it makes everyone feel bad. The story is also super well done, no pauses at all in the action or characterizations, just a fun ride the whole way through. I had the pleasure of meeting Steve at Comicon and he was sadly not at all as French as I was expecting. For some reason the pressure’s off when the person with awesome art is from another country, haha… Anyhow, if you’re a fan of expressive lines and characters and fun (and slightly naughty) stories, definitely check this one out.

I’ll update relatively soon, since I sort of forgot to post this update till the last minute :\

And, it’s co-authored by the fellow who runs Printsess, which is a service many of you probably have used or encountered and whose work I personally can vouch for (this is where I got my Snowball in Hell stickers done, if you’ve got some). Anyways! Worth a look if you need some cute things in your life.

Well that’s it for Chapter 2! Can you believe it? I’ve been working on this since August 20th, 2009… and finished one day earlier than I had scheduled last fall :) Yus!

Thank you all so very much for reading. I’m going to write a proper thank you on my LJ later since this was such a tough year in so many respects, but also one of the most productive periods I’ve ever had.

Starting on Monday the 5th of July I will start to post the elusive sketch version of this chapter (the one that it seems like everyone except you has read already). I’m going to be posting at the same rate that I did back when I did them, which is to say 2 pages a day, so there will be a lot to see :) That should take about 4 weeks. After that will be the start of Chapter 3, and I will be posting regularly since I will have time to build a buffer. I will also be making some much-needed site edits and updates, as well as finally updating the Meekipedia (you can see I’ve already started on some articles). And getting ready for SDCC!

Anyways, I hope you have all enjoyed Chapter 2. I suggest you go back and read it again so you can pick up all the details that I hid in there. And get ready for Chapter 3, it is going to be pretty wild…

I was really amused by the person who commented last page that she needed a hug XD They were correct. OKAY, SO, NEWS:

CHAPTER 1 BOOKS ARE READY FOR PREORDER!

Remember Chapter 1? The story about the green-haired girl and her fat, drunk sidekick (kinda)? Well, thanks to my publisher 4DE, the comic is available for preorder! They are such a bargain compared to my self-printed ones. This fancy deal is only available until the comic is printed (they will be ready in July), since these preorders are funding the actual printing. After that the site will only have the non-written-in comics for sale. These comics also contain extra stuff compared to my self-printed ones… Some of the things you will find in the comic:
- re-edited pages with more details (some you will probably not notice… but I know they are there ohoho)
- entirely redone cover to make it match the interior art (I did the old one before I’d settled on the style I’m using now)
- an extra (and not online) minicomic about what the hell is up with Pinter in the first place
- some sketches and hideous production art and other things

So, if you would like a copy, or want to support The Meek somehow, or just like burning your money except your fire went out, consider ordering your copy and getting your money’s worth now :)

The pimp for today is for the comic Sfeer Theory which I didn’t quite want to pimp yet because there are only 8 pages but they rock so hard that I felt like I should bend my rules a little.
